Clinical Skill Enhancement Program

IVI organized a four day “Clinical Skill Enhancement Program” for optometry professionals at Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH) in New Delhi during 28-31 January 2016.

The program included sessions on contact lens; binocular vision, low vision and refraction and dispensing optics during the four days, with special focus on soft toric, multifocal, RGP, kerasoft, scleral lenses design and fitting; evaluation of binocular vision; vision therapy; prevalence, causes, clinical assessment and rehabilitation plan for low vision; paediatric refraction; and design, trouble shooting and adaptation in progressives. 

Organized in collaboration with SCEH, the workshop was facilitated by a distinguished panel of experts from ICARE Eye Hospital, Noida; All India Institute of Medical Sciences; Essilor India Private Limited.; Vaish Eye clinic; and Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi.

The workshop was attended by over 35 eye care professionals including practitioners, educators, post graduate and undergraduate students from Nirmal Eye Institute, Rishikesh; Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad; Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Thane; OPJS, Rajasthan; Health Department, Haryana; Himalayan University, Dehradun; ICARE Eye Hospital, Noida; Crystal eye clinic; Aruna Asaf Ali Govt Hospital; Suvidha eye services and Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi.
