Our teams of optometrists identify cataract conditions during vision screenings. In recent screenings of communities (January-April), 570 cases with cataracts were referred to hospitals, with 103 successful surgeries.

Rani, age 70, was leading a life of social isolation with blurry vision until our optometrists found her to have cataracts in both eyes. A surgery at M.N. Eye Hospital, one of our referral partners, has restored her vision. She is among many others with cataracts that IVI is helping by referrals to hospitals for treatment.
