"EyeTeach: Education Design for Learning” is designed for optometry educators and practitioners who are keen on advancing their teaching skills and understanding the pivotal role of problem-based learning in student engagement and professional preparation. The program will comprise four, two-day intensive workshops to equip participants with practical insights and strategies to effectively engage students, foster critical thinking, and facilitate research dissemination in teaching.

Diabetic Eye Diseases Month

Awareness on ergonomics and visual hygiene is explained through a series of sessions to the corporate IT professionals who have sedentary lifestyle. This program might be in partnership with Essilor. In addition, the employees could be screened for refractive errors and prescribed glasses with glasses (with Essilor lenses if partnered). This would highly benefit the employee to understand the basics of ergonomics lectures, case studies, question and answer session to engage the participants

A one day low vision workshop featuring lectures, case studies, clinical application and low vision aid fitting will be conducted on 7th December 2024 at Dr Agarwal’s College of Optometry, Chennai. A key lecture for the event will be given by Dr Bhavani Iyer

The Global Child Eye Health Symposium is an innovative meeting that aims to bring together eye care advocates worldwide, focusing on practical discussions and solutions in child eye health.

For final year optometry students and post graduates in optometry to help bridge the gap between conventional academic knowledge and practical, interpersonal skills required in the workplace.

ResMeet'24 is the fourth edition of our program to promote research and collaboration in optometry and vision science. This event aims to continue the tradition of excellence established by its predecessors. It will be a two-day virtual gathering.

Offering a range of thought-provoking topics, encompassing the importance of soft skills, grooming, and also addressing aspects such as pursuing a PhD in optometry etc.

For eye care professionals who have a strong motivation to take up a leadership role in the near future or are aspiring to move ahead in their careers. Providing a holistic view of the eye care scenario in India and worldwide, it will help develop leadership skills, enhance career prospects and provide mentorship and networking opportunities to selected participants. Over the years, we have developed a pool of 80 young eye care leaders across India.
