A. We primarily serve underprivileged communities, including schoolchildren, rural populations, and those with limited access to vision care services. Our programs aim to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, has access to quality eye care.

Q. Do you provide free spectacles?

A. Yes, during our screenings, if needed, we provide free or affordable spectacles to individuals, especially school children and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. 

Q. What impact have your programs had so far?

A. Through our programs, we have provided vision screenings to over 1.6 million schoolchildren and adults in communities, distributing thousands of glasses and referring individuals for further care where necessary. We have significantly contributed to reducing visual impairment in underserved areas.

A. India Vision Institute (IVI) is an independent, not-for-profit registered trust (with section 12A,80G and FCRA of IT Act Clearance) established in 2012.

A. Our mission is to augment the Primary Eye Care Capacity of India.

 

Q. What do we do?

A. For the prevention of avoidable blindness, our team of experienced and qualified optometrists work in disadvantaged communities and remote areas of India to provide timely intervention, vision screening and providing a pair of corrective glasses. We also work on awareness generation, capacity building, leadership development and promoting the research culture to advance Indian Optometry.

A. We conduct eye test camps across India. Our services have covered 22 states in the country. Our offices and teams work from Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Salem, Namakkal and Kolkata.
