Eye See & I Work focuses on underserved adults who lack access to primary eye care. It  ensures beneficiaries receive a pair of eyeglasses and a consultation at the camp allowing them to see clearly, perform daily tasks effectively, increase their independence and productivity.

VS - ADULTS-01.png

Approximately 59% of adults require eyeglasses correction. Many are first-time wearers of spectacles, meaning that they are getting their eyes checked for the first time. IVI works with a range of partners — eye hospitals, non-government organisations, government, community-based organisations, volunteers and health workers among others – to provide primary eye care access in underprivileged communities.

Our programs provide vision screening and free-of-cost spectacles to those in need, diagnose patients with cataract and other eye ailments and refer them to hospital, as well as follow-up with beneficiaries to address queries.

Beneficiaries have included transgender individuals, weavers, sculptors, fishermen, drivers, prisoners, firecracker workers, farmers, etc.

To serve as a key facility for all IVI outreach activities.

  • Making basic eye examination accessible to disadvantaged communities;
