Vinod Daniel is an international museum expert and a champion of charity work in the field of prevention of avoidable blindness in India. He is 'Chairman of the Board' for AusHeritage. This key role provides leadership to a network of Australian heritage institutions in developing significant cultural heritage partnerships in the Asia Pacific Region. Mr Daniel has led several successful collaborative partnerships with Indian museums and institutions since 1996, in addition to working in countries and regions across the world. As CEO of India Vision Institute (IVI), he leads its extensive activities and programs across the country.

Abhishek is an accomplished professional with a Postgraduate degree in Optometry from the prestigious Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College - School of Optometry in Pune. Since 2011, he has been with India Vision Institute, where he currently serves as Director - Vision Access Programs, overseeing vision centers and outreach initiatives. His primary objective is to provide essential vision care and ensure access to eyeglasses for underserved individuals.

With a career spanning over eighteen years, Abhishek's journey in the eye care industry commenced at renowned optical retail chains, Lawrence & Mayo and Ben Franklin. In his prior role as the Professional Services Manager, he played a pivotal role in driving retail marketing initiatives, store expansions and delivering comprehensive technical training to optical retail staff, significantly enhancing service quality and the overall customer experience in the optical industry.

Abhishek's deep passion for optometry and unwavering commitment to serving underserved communities with their eye care needs make him an invaluable asset in his role as General Manager at IVI. Kumudha Thirunavukkarasu is General Manager - Sustainability & Professional Development at India Vision Institute. With an optometry background, she brings a wealth of experience in vision screening initiatives spanning India.

She now leads fundraising, educational, and professional development programs. Kumudha has successfully managed numerous vision screening projects nationwide, championing the cause of eye care accessibility and promoting vision health across India.

Shekhar’s role at India Vision Institute involves developing and leading communication strategies across print, digital, TV and social media. Through strategic proactive communications, he helps build and consolidate IVI’s national and international image, institutional alliances and networks. He comes with a  background in journalism, industry and the NGO sector, and is an experienced public affairs specialist with stints in international and national organizations, including among others, at the US Embassy, International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, and the Australian mission in Delhi where he was Senior Adviser, Public Affairs & Cultural Relations. He loves listening to Hindustani, Carnatic, and western classical music. His favourite composer is the 18th century Baroque violinist and impresario Vivaldi.

Senthil began his journey with IVI twelve years ago. He handles administration,finance,human resource and compliance, which he has a penchant for. He also helps facilitate and organize vision screening camps, including working to secure the necessary government permissions.

His passion is to work for underprivileged people. He thanks IVI for providing him with the opportunity to work with tribal people and those from underprivileged communities, to oversee eye check-ups and provide spectacles, ensuring their happiness and well-being.

A postgraduate in optometry, Apoorva has a decade and a half of experience in leading and implementing multi-faceted professional and educational development programs.

She is a skilled leader who manages a proficient team at IVI and is accountable for the provision of high quality learning experiences. Her key duties include managing stakeholders, writing grants and fundraising, designing programs, working with stakeholders to recognize optometry learning gaps, supervising budgets, and tracking and evaluating the success of current programs. She is committed to fostering a culture of continual learning and development amongst optometrists in order to support the organization's objectives and goals.

With over a decade of experience in graphic design, branding, and communication, Ashwiny has built an impressive career rooted in creativity and continuous growth. Her professional journey began as a Graphic Designer at India Vision Institute (IVI), where she first discovered her passion for impactful design. This led her to the construction industry, where she specialized in advertisement design, followed by a significant role at Deloitte, one of the Big Four firms. There, she refined her skills in corporate branding, embraced innovation, and developed strong leadership abilities through rigorous training programs.

Returning to IVI as Head of Branding and Communication, Ashwiny now leads with a commitment to delivering high-quality, creative, and meaningful work. Her academic foundation includes a B.Sc. in Visual Communication and an M.A. in Journalism and Communication, which empower her to craft compelling narratives and design strategies.

Outside of her professional life, Ashwiny is a passionate Contemporary Ornamental Mandala Artist and Illustrator, blending tradition and modernity in her intricate designs. She also enjoys arts, crafts, and gardening, finding inspiration and solace in nature.
