Vinod Daniel is the CEO and Managing Trustee of India Vision Institute. He has been associated with IVI since its inception. He is the recipient of the Association of Community Ophthalmologists of India (ACOIN) Golden Eye Award in 2012 and the ASTRA (Association of Soft Skills Trainers) Service Excellence Award (2014) for sustainable contribution to the field of Human Resource Development and Human Resource Management relating to Cultural Heritage and Blindness Prevention, 2015 American Academy of Optometry-Essilor Award for Outstanding International Contributions to Optometry, 2019 GEMCO Award for Lifetime Work in India for Heritage and Social Work, and the 2023 Order of Australia Medal, among the honors and recognitions.
Dr Gullapalli N Rao is Founder Chairman of LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, Dr Rao has held many international leadership positions and is on the Boards of several organizations in the field of eye care and prevention of blindness around the world. His standing in this area is epitomized by his appointment as Secretary-General of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (1998-2004) and then as Chairman, Board of Trustees, President and CEO (2004-2008).
Vivek Mendonsa is the Marketing Director of Lawrence & Mayo, an optical company established in 1877. He has been instrumental in gearing and expanding the company’s optical showrooms from 19 when he joined in 1992, to 96 till date and 13 instrument offices with a vast network spanning 36 cities across India. He heads a team strength of over 1,000 employees.
Dr Susan Varghese is an ophthalmic surgeon, who holds degrees in MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology). She is Director of Hindustan College of Arts & Science, University of Madras. With about 4,000 students, Dr Varghese has built the college into one of India’s finest institutions. She has actively participated in national and international conferences. She is also instrumental in starting the Hindustan Community College for the economically weak, underprivileged and marginalized in our society. Her passion for ophthalmology and good health has resulted in the initiation of her new venture ‘Smart Vision & Diabetes Clinic’ to meet the demands for comprehensive eye care and diabetes management.
J P Singh leads Justplainandsimple Consulting that provides leadership development, marketing strategy, and management consulting services. He is adept at quickly identifying root causes and working towards dynamic, impactful steps forward. JP recognizes the interconnectedness of great leaders and their teams and clients. Mr Singh accompanies executives on their leadership change journey encouraging their progress through empathy and discipline.
Dr Stephen Mervin Alexander is a retired Special Secretary, Government of India. In his 35 years of government service, he has held several key positions, including as Member (Personnel), Postal Services Board, Chairman, Investment Board, Department of Posts, Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal, Sikkim & Andamans, and Joint Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, among others. Dr Alexander has also been director of boards of public sector undertakings and autonomous bodies. He is a recipient of the Kalam Award for Innovation, Innovation Award of Tamil Nadu Postal Circle and the IMA Award under non-medical category. He has a Hon D. Litt for contribution to postal services. Since 2022, he serves as independent director in three Kerala-based private limited health care companies. A keen sports enthusiast, he has interests in social service, civil services and services recruitment coaching.
