BHVI Academy EyeTeach© Workshop: Introduction to Research Methodology and Scientific Writing - Navsari, Gujarat
IVI organised a three day “BHVI Academy EyeTeach© Workshop - Introduction to Research Methodology and Scientific Writing†at Hari Jyot College of Optometry in Navsari, Gujarat during 16-18 July, in collaboration with African Vision Research Institute (AVRI), Durban, South Africa.
Focusing on public health and evidence based research, rapid assessment methods, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, writing research proposals, writing for journals, ethics and plagiarism, the workshop was facilitated by Professor Kovin Naidoo, Deputy CEO, Brien Holden Vision Institute and Dr Jyoti Jaggernath, Research Manager, AVRI.
Over 20 participants including educators, researchers, post graduate students, and practitioners from Nagar School of Optometry, Ahmedabad; Hari Jyot College of Optometry, and Rotary Eye Institute, Navsari; Shree Bhartimaiya College of Optometry, Surat, and Brien Holden Vision Institute, Asmara College of Health Sciences, Eritrea, participated in the workshop.
The workshop was awarded 06 credit points by Optometry Council of India (OCI).
