34th Low Vision Awareness Program

L V Prasad Eye Institute in association with the India Vision Institute conducted 34th Low Vision Awareness Program (LAP) across the LVPEI network on 18 September, 2015. 225 participants including optometry practitioners, students, ophthalmologists, vision technicians, rehabilitation professionals and optometry educators attended the program.

The program comprised informative sessions on what it means to live with low vision, examination of low vision patients, available options for low vision patients, low vision management, rehabilitation and much more. Conducted at Kallam Anji Reddy campus- Hyderabad, the program was telecast live across the LVPEI network through video-conference at Kode Venkatadri Chowdary campus - Vijayawada, GMR Varalakshmi campus, Visakhapatnam and LVPEI Bhubaneswar campus, the participants appreciated the opportunity of the ever popular hands on training session along with several case discussions.
