The fifth batch of interns completed internship at IVI’s Hyderabad and Chennai offices, from June 6-July 6.

The internship gave M. Rakesh and P. GouriPravalitha (both from the University of Hyderabad), and Sheryl N and Jenifer G from Shri Prakash Institute of Optometry, Chennai the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working on IVI projects to promote Optometry in India.

The internship comprised providing support in program planning and implementation, conducting surveys and drafting reports, assisting in community vision screening programs, and research documentation.

Offered yearly, the summer program aims to provide students field experience beyond the usual clinics. Initiated in 2014, 16 students have gained working experience so far under the program.
