The first batch of the
IVI Faculty Support Program in collaboration with LVPEI was conducted in
Binocular Vision from 13-25 July 2015 at LVPEI-KAR campus.
Ms Sona Komalam- Faculty,
Ahalia School of Optometry, Palakkad attended the 13 day program facilitated by
Dr Shrikant Bharadwaj- Scientist & Associate Director- Optometry, LVPEI.
The program agenda included curriculum scheming,
assessment patterns, possibility for research in binocular vision for faculty
as well as students and much more. It also covered a range of topics from an academic perspective in binocular vision identifying the available resources, lecture delivery methods and
observation and various evaluation patterns.

with this wonderful opportunity. I am definitely pleased about various
observations and discussions relevant to binocular vision that happened during
the program. Programs like FSP are a must for optometry faculties as they
provide active learning and have a facet of classroom learning that is logical

The program had been
awarded 20 CE points by the Optometry Council of India.
