The Art of Spectacle Dispensing

IVI conducted nine capacity building programs “The Art of Spectacle Dispensing” for optical counter sales personnel of Eyegear Optics India Pvt. Ltd. (EOIPL) managed by Ben Franklin Opticians. These sessions were conducted from March to May 2014. Over 250 professionals in seven cities, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Vizag, Nellore, and Nagpur participated in the programs.   

The one-day comprehensive hands-on capacity building program was intended to build the technical skills, knowledge and soft skills required for understanding refraction, prescriptions and optical dispensing leading to effective outcomes in technical handling and customer satisfaction. Role-plays about counter-customer handling aspects, objection handling, bifocal to progressive conversion, dispensing technical aspects and customer satisfaction were conducted. 

Mr Revanth Kumar - Program Manager, India Vision Institute & Mr Srikanth M - Optometry Faculty, Bausch & Lomb School of Optometry, facilitated the workshop.           

The program series are aimed at enhancing the skill sets of optical counter sales personnel of EOIPL in ensuring effective and quality outcomes in customer satisfaction, technical knowledge and retail sales.
