A 3 day intensive workshop on Paediatric
optometry was conducted by Sankara eye hospital, Bangalore in association with
IVI during 13 - 15 December, 2013 at Bangalore. It was a whole new initiative
to educate the participants on delivering excellent eye care service to the
paediatric population.
32 participants including optometry
practitioners and educators from all over the country became a part of the
program and made it a huge success. Led by Prof. Marc Taub (Southern College of
Optometry, Memphis, USA), Mr Aditya Goyal (Sankara Eye hospital, Bangalore), Mr
Diwakar Rao (Sankara Eye hospital, Bangalore) and Ms. Sunita Agarwal, the
workshop was very well received and appreciated by the participants.
The workshop focused on binocular vision
anomalies, visual information processing disorders, vision therapy procedures
and amblyopia with exclusive hands on session on each day.
