India Vision Institute, a
not-for-profit NGO working to provide the underprivileged access to vision
screening and spectacles, today donated 2,000 face masks, 40 PPE kit, 200 face
shields, and 100 sanitisers to the local police, sanitary workers and a hospital.

The supplies were
distributed to the Law & Order and Traffic Departments of Neelankarai
Police Station (Chennai), and to the Tamil Nadu Government Super Specialty
Hospital, Omandurar, Anna Salai (Chennai).
“This is our contribution
to help the frontline warriors in their fight against the spread of Covid-19.
They include the medical fraternity, para-medics, police and sanitary workers. I
am also delighted that this is in line with the Government of India’s directive
